Visit to Athens War Museum

On Friday, 13 February 2015 at 11:00 am, a group of 15 visual impaired people served by the Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece, along with their guides, visited the Athens War Museum.

The tour guide was serving his military service and the tour included a review of the Alexandrian times, the Greek Revolution, the First World War and the history of antiquity up to modern times. The participants had the opportunity to have a tactual experience, by groping statues with masks of the leaders of the Greek revolution, figurines, cannons, weapons, warplanes and helicopters.

The visit ended with the sincere thanks of all the participants to the tour guide for the highly educational tour and the perfect organisation of the entire programme, since they gained new experiences and they left with feelings of pleasure and excitement.
