VISIT OF THE DEPUTY MAYOR OF CLEANING AND RECYCLING OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ATHENS TO THE LIGHTHOUSE FOR THE BLIND OF GREECE 

On Wednesday, October 7th , the Deputy Mayor of Cleaning and Recycling of the Municipality of Athens, Mr. Avramidis Nikos, visited the Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece, accompanied by Mr. Mousios Nontas, Manager of the Mayor's office. 

The two guests were welcomed by the President of the association, Mr Basias Emmanouil, the Vice President Ms. Roukoutaki Georgia, the Members of Board, Mr. Komilas Christos, Mr. Lekkas Christos and Mrs. Tzevelekou Maria, the General Manager, Mr Karkoulias George and the Manager of Social Welfare and Development, Mrs. Mila Georgia. 

In the context of this honorary meeting, there was extensive information of the visitors on the uniqueness of the work of the association and the Sheltered Workshops, the need for professional rehabilitation of the blind, as well as the critical issues that concern the Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece. 

Mr. Avramidis and Mr. Mousios, were guided to the facilities of the organization and congratulated the Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece for its wide and qualitative offer to the blind community and Greek society in general, noting that both of them personally, along with the Mayor of Athens Mr. Bakoyannis, will actively support its actions.
