This Educational Program enables primary and secondary education students to get in touch with the history of the ancient Greek currency, its iconography, circulation and its use as a transaction method. Also it has been adapted for Special School students and people with visual problems, by the creation of enlarged ancient coins and the publication of a brochure about the history of the currency in Braille writing.

The attendees had the opportunity to touch the original ancient coins and their enlarged copies and also they received the brochure about the history of the currency in Braille writing.

The enlarged copies of the Numismatic Collection were donated by Alpha Bank to the Tactual Museum of the Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece in order to enrich museum's exhibit collection and allow blind and sighted visitors to palpate the ancient coins and get in touch with the history of the ancient Greek currency.

The event was held successfully and highlighted the need for even more similar collaborative efforts to bring "different approaches" adapted for  the needs of all citizens, with a great social result.
