Visit to the Museum of Cycladic Art

On 26th of March, 2015, a group of 15 people with visual impairments visited the Museum of Cycladic Art. The participants were able to watch the progress of Cycladic Art through time and learn about some of the achievements of the Cycladic civilisation during the Early Bronze Age (3200 BC - 2000 BC) on the islands the central Aegean sea.

With the help of a guide, the participants took a tour around the Museum, groping replicas of Cycladic sculptures, like the famous figurines, and various other utensils, pots, weapons and tools made of bronze, marble and clay.

The participants gained new experiences and knowledge from this action, which also contributed to the active participation of people with visual impairments in social and cultural life.
